So there's no way this site is going to become competition for any other major site, or at least as is. So I'm going to change the rules.
Instead of trying to write about the latest and greatest and only focus on "the most interesting" of articles, I'm going to copy the Shamus Young model. For example, I got Viewtiful Joe for $3 today, a game I missed out on, but in the current model writing about it would be obsolete.
But you know what? I don't care. From now on, I'll write about any games I'm playing if I feel like it, or any movie, or TV show, or whatever. This will keep more content and more discussion going daily.
In the meantime, anyone that is currently part of the "writing staff", a.k.a. Glitch and MadeMan, will be given fewer restrictions when writing. I'll still grammar check and such, but the material won't be nearly as scrutinized. Anyone else that wishes to contribute can do the same.
Basically, this is full-on becoming a gaming blog with multiple authors. Eventually I'll work it in so a user can filter out works by a specific author if they so desire (assuming we'd have enough contributions that it would become an issue).
This way I don't have to just let ideas sit in my head for a while, and any that seem to garner enough attention I can focus into improving into a much more well-thought out and written article for Examiner.com or for another pay site for contribution.
