What Is GameLandEtc?

GameLandEtc. was a project developed by Chris Cesarano while he was in College. Its birth was a mixture of simply wanting to put an entertaining product out into the world, combined with the a way to express some of his deeper feelings and personality traits through the different characters.

As an example, the character Bryn is built off of Chris's more cynical and negative side. He is very skeptical of others and how things will work out, and is stuck in a dead end job instead of fulfilling his dreams. Terry, meanwhile, is a complete contrast, reflecting Chris's more optimistic, friendly and fun-loving attitude. At their very cores, Bryn is who Chris is afraid of becoming while Terry represents who Chris wants to be.

As time has progressed, the different characters have all gained a personality of their own. While their archetypes are built off of different aspects or perceptions of Chris, there are a lot of differences between them as well. This is the ideal situation, as just placing oneself into a comic becomes very boring over time.

While Chris loves working on GameLandEtc, he currently sees no future in doing it as a career. As such, it will be updated when the time is available. This typically means short periods of plentiful updates followed by short periods of nothing. However, Chris is certainly dedicated to making the comic, as well as its quality, and will therefore continue to update it until he feels it has reached a suitable point to conclude. This is, currently, a long way off.

Who Is Chris Cesarano?

Chris Cesarano is a graduate from the Rochester Institute of Technology whose talents are varied. His primary passion lies in video games, and each of his hobbies somehow intersects the medium. Be it in writing, web design or art, Chris loves video games more than any other form of entertainment out there.

Chris has always loved to entertain people, and since he was a child tried to replicate his love for comic strips with his very own four-panel creations. He began to put his work out onto the web in high school, but each of his projects were either poorly written, poorly drawn or reached a point where Chris simply grew out of what he was writing.

GameLandEtc allows Chris to continue with his hobby of entertaining friends, family and people he's never even met before, but it is not currently where his career goals in life lie. As such, he can only commit minimal amount of time to the project while prioritizing other work and projects ahead of the comic.
