Dio Put on Brütal Legend’s Chopping Block

Ronnie James Dio’s management has confirmed that his voice work has been cut from upcoming Brütal Legend, and replacing him will be the legendary actor Tim Curry. If you’re not familiar with the name, don’t worry. The guy has done so many voice acting roles that it will be impossible not to recognize him. Everyone knows Tim Curry.
But not everyone knows Ronnie James Dio, which is a shame. The 80’s metal singer took Ozzy Ozbourne’s place when he left Black Sabbath, and rumor has it that in order to get Ozzy on board Dio had to go. This is just speculation, however, with no confirmation.
Personally, I’m a bit disappointed. I’ve always enjoyed Dio’s music, and as blasphemous as it may seem I feel he took Black Sabbath into a better direction than Ozzy had. Even so, losing Dio to Tim Curry isn’t exactly a loss either. It’s just a shame.
