It’s Teasing Season as Capcom Plugs Teaser Site

By Chris Cesarano

So if it wasn’t enough that Square Enix fans are trying to figure out which of their favorite franchises is getting a sequel, Capcom has also pumped out a teaser of their own. The only thing showing is 1560, which is then crossed out and replaced with 1573. Both numbers then sort of pendulum swing back and forth.

The first reaction is to search events that link to these dates, and the first natural reaction is that Oda Nobunaga had some conquests in both years. In fact, only one battle was noted in 1560, but several in 1573. Oda Nobunaga was an ancient warlord that the Japanese love to turn into an evil demon in their entertainment, but he was also a major villain (the major villain? Never got to play the series) in Onimusha. So one could guess that we may be looking at a new entry in the Onimusha franchise.

Of course, it could also have nothing to do with Oda Nobunaga or giant battles at all! It could be about anything. I’m just throwing in some theories of my own.
