It seems that press releases are slowly beginning to die, or at least in the gaming industry. It’s all about Twitter these days, and that’s how the official release of Battlefield 1943 was announced. Even if I technically have no use for it myself, I’m starting to think I ought to sign up just so I can follow what all these industry folk are up to.
Anyway, the game is scheduled for release on Xbox Live Marketplace on Wednesday, July 8th, followed by a release on the Playstation Network on Thursday, July 9th. The price will be $15 for both, but if you are having trouble working out the conversion to Microsoft’s Monopoly Money then it would be 1200 MS Points. The game is currently slated for digital download only, with no retail variation currently in the works.
